Show Not Tell Mats

I made these ‘show not tell’ mats to support children when describing characters feelings. I choose specific mats, depending on what we are writing e.g., scared and sad mats when writing an evacuation diary entry. They also work well during our reading lessons when inferring character traits. My favourite way to use them is for drama lessons, where I give a group or individual a feeling which they act out using points under each heading.
